OFF TRACK

Because of the cold and the fact that we have one child that takes two naps a day and one that takes one nap a day we mostly stayed home while the kids were off track. I didn't want them playing video games the entire three weeks so here are a few of the other fun things we did while we were home. We had some detective work going on. Or was it spy's?
I think we did about 50 word searches.

Built some forts. They had a good time playing in the fort until someone would pull it down and then at least half of them would start crying until they realized that they could just build another one.

We did some bead crafting.

The kids made necklaces, bracelets, headbands and belts. And of course the airplane key chain which was not an easy project. Lucas even made a bracelet.

Played some baseball, soccer, and football.

Decorated cupcakes with Aunt Amy cause she has all the right stuff and knows all the fancy designs. The kids had so much fun doing this.

6 MONTHS

Miss Molly is 6 months old already! She weighs 15 lbs 7 oz (36%) and is 25 inches long ( 22%). And of course her head is at the bottom of the charts in the 5th percentile. She is so cute! She likes to play with her tongue. It is the cutest little tongue. She pulls it in and out of her mouth over and over. I just love to watch her and smile at her which makes her do it more. And of course makes her slobber more. She is a pro at rolling over now and turning around in circles. Because of this new found skill she will sometimes play on the floor by herself for over an hour just going from one toy to the next. Super nice for mom. Molly is a superb sleeper! Most days she will take two, two hour naps (sometimes longer) and still go to bed about 8:30 and sleep through the night until 8 or later the next morning. She has a bit of a cold right now so she doesn't go to sleep quite as easily but hopefully that will be gone soon. Molly loves to eat. So far she eats whatever we give her. She eats cereal mixed with a container of fruit in the morning, two containers of food for lunch, and cereal mixed with veggies for dinner. She also nurses before each nap and before bedtime. She loves her brothers and sister. And she gets excited when she sees Daddy walk into the room. We have so much fun with her. I love to snuggle with her. One of my favorite things is when she falls asleep when I am holding her. It doesn't happen often so when it does I hate to lay her down. We love her so much. I love her smile and her laugh. She is perfect for our family!

Happy Birthday Lucas!

Lucas had a birthday on March 16th and entered into the terrible two's. He is such a cute little boy but he has definatly learned how to throw a tantrum. If he doesn't get what he wants he drops to the floor and crys. When he is happy he loves to play with his brothers and sisters. He loves to give kisses. And he loves to read books. He was super excited about this dinosaur that my mom gave him. He also got a remote control car and a Sit and Spin. Rachel got on this first and started spinning. When Lucas got on and couldn't figured it out he just got mad and started crying. Once he got it figured out he had a good time with it.

I must be the lamest Mom ever. I didn't even have any eggs to make a birthday cake so he got rice crispy treats instead. He didn't mind too much. All he ever eats anyway is the ice cream. I think he weighs 22 lbs which is hardly on the chart but that's kind of how my kids are. He can be such a sweet little guy and we love him so much. Happy Birthday Lukey Bug!!

ZACKERY'S BIRTHDAY!

Oh what do I say about Zack? He is our little sassy pants. He's got attitude. If he doesn't want to do something or doesn't like something he will let you know. Zack definatly keeps life interesting for us. He loves that he has green eyes and so does Lucas. He always has something funny to say and makes us laugh every day. He has so much energy. From the second he wakes up until he finally crashes at night he is just go go go. He hardly ever sleeps through the night. We always find him in front of the tv during the night or in the morning. Sometimes awake and sometimes asleep. We love our Zack Attack! Happy Happy Birthday! He was so excited about this game. And now a month later all the kids do is fight about it. Silly kids.
If brother has one then he's got to have one.

This got the best reaction out of anything. He was so excited he went jumping and screaming all around the house as he showed all of his cousins.

And this is the look we get from Zack most of the time. And yes this is the same cake that Preston had. But we did add one more candle to it so that he could be seven. Love you Zacky!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRESTON!

Preston decided he wanted to have another birthday so that he could be six. I keep trying to tell him to stay little but he won't listen to me. I love his bright blue eyes and his super blond hair. He is such a good big brother to Lucas and Molly. Not so much with Rachel but we are working on it. He loves to play with his older brothers and wants to do everything they do. We are grateful to have him in our family. Happy Happy Birthday Preston!!

He shoots all of the nerf darts at the wall and tries to make a smiley face with them. He actually does a pretty good job.

This is about as fancy as I get with a birthday cakes.
